HARRY PERKINS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL RESEARCH —
FUNDING
320. Mr R.H. COOK to the
Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question. How much of the current
budget of the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research will be contestable,
and what has it done to deserve this treatment?

AnswerView source ↗

It has not done anything. It is part of a system whereby all organisations
that are doing research in this state compete for significantly increased
funding put in place by our government.
Ms R. Saffioti interjected.
The SPEAKER :
Member for West Swan, I call you to order for the second time.
Dr K.D. HAMES : I
have every reason to suspect that it will be successful and will be able to get
the same amount of funding that it gets now.
