The Minister for the Environment; Science has provided the following response: (1) Communications between officers of the Department of Environment and the Minister's office are conducted in accord with the protocol "Arrangements for Communications and Dealings between Staff of the Minister for Environment; Science and Staff of the Department of Environment" (See Table 1). These arrangements require that for all communications of a 'strategic' policy nature where the Department has provided a response, it should be specified whether the Chief Executive Officer or nominated officer has actually seen the response before it was sent from the Department. (2-3) Not Applicable.
