(a) The Minister for Energy nominates non-Executive Directors to the Governor for appointment. In making nominations for appointment to the board the Minister consults with the board.
(b) The Electricity Corporations Act 2005 provides guidance in terms of timeline requiring approximately one third of directors retiring in any given year.
Criteria considered when selecting a non-Executive Director include skill gaps on the Board at the time (for example: Legal, Financial, Industry experience), diversity and regional representation.
