(1) Further to my question, will the minister confirm that Western Power has divulged publicly that an account was established and that Dr van der Mye did use a limousine service which was paid for by Western Power? (2) If the minister is wrong, will he apologise to this Parliament? Mr E.S. RIPPER
AnswerView source ↗
(1)-(2) I have heard no apology from the Leader of the Opposition for his mistakes in his personal attack on the reputation of someone who has been hired to do an important job for Western Power and Western Australia. I repeat what I said in answer to his major question: if the Leader of the Opposition presents me with a skerrick of evidence to back up his assertion, I will have the matter checked. In the meantime I regard it as just another disgraceful and unwarranted personal attack. The Opposition does anything to discredit Western Power and its current management.
