1 (a) An estimate of $42.5 million (inclusive of 10% solatium but exclusive of escalation allowances, interest, legal fees, stamp duty and other incidental costs) was assessed in November 2002 for the properties assuming no asbestos clean up costs were required. It was estimated an additional $5 million could be required for asbestos removal which would notionally reduce the value of the properties and the budget by $5m to $37.5m.
