I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
The following information has been provided to me by the
Minister for Health —
(a) A total of
500 voluntary severance packages will be available to WA Health staff under the
Public Sector Commission's targeted separation scheme for 2014–15.
(b) In
accordance with the Public Sector Commission's guidelines, the
positions to be targeted are registered redeployees, permanent employees whose

surplus to agency requirements, permanent employees under substituted severance
arrangements, and employees engaged on a fixed-term basis with no access to
compensation.
(c) The severance
packages will be available to staff across WA Health, including those in
hospital and non-hospital settings.
(d) There is no
quota set for each hospital for severance packages.
