(1) The Western Australian total public sector held the following classes of financial assets as at 30 June 2009, 2010 and 2011:
- cash and deposits;
- advances paid
- investments, loans and placements;
- receivables;
- investment property;
- equity - investments in other entities; and
- other financial assets.
These classification categories are expected to remain unchanged across the forward estimate period and feature in the State's whole-of-government balance sheet disclosures in prior year actuals and budget projections.
(2) The value of each class of financial asset held by the Western Australian total public sector for the financial year ended 30 June 2009, 30 June 2010 and 30 June 2011 are shown in the following table.
