The Department of Housing advises:
(1) The figure of 15 dwellings represents the commencement target in 2011-12 of properties for the Drug and Alcohol Office under the Combined Capital Bid program. These dwellings will be located in the Metropolitan area (8), Goldfields (2), Midwest/Gascoyne (2) and Kimberley (3).
All the dwellings have been, or will be, purchased from the open market. In 2011-12, 11 units were purchased. Settlements of a further four dwellings will be completed during 2012-13.
(2) The Drug and Alcohol Office did not request any properties in that region.
(3) The cost of acquisition and minor maintenance will total $8.5 million.
(4) 100 per cent State Government funds.
