With regard to the Marine Parks and Reserves Authority, I ask: (a) how much of Western Australia’s waters are protected in marine parks and reserves, and what percentage of Western Australia's waters is this; (b) how many hectares are currently protected in no-take or sanctuary zones: (i) what percentage of Western Australia's waters is this; and (ii) what percentage of the area covered by marine parks and reserves is in no-take or sanctuary zones; (c) for each existing marine park or reserve what is the area and percentage of the marine park or reserve that is in a no-take or sanctuary zone; (d) how much of Western Australia's waters are likely to be protected in marine parks and reserves in five years; (e) what are the proposed marine parks and reserves that have not been included in the responses to (a–c): (i) what is the area of each of the proposed marine parks and reserves; and (ii) what is the percentage of the area that is proposed to be covered by a no-take or sanctuary zone; and (f) does the Western Australian Government propose to establish marine parks at Walcott Inlet, the Buccaneer Archipelago, and Dugong Bay?
