a) The Department of Justice has created four (4) Aboriginal Youth Support Officers. The recruitment process has commenced for these positions. The two (2) Nurses and two (2) Aboriginal mental health workers positions are in the process of being created. Nil expenditure has been incurred from the $3.6 million to date.
b) To date, $13.4 million of the $21.6 million committed funding has either been spent or is allocated through an approved tender or construction process.
The completed works include: Modifications to inner perimeter fence, Jasper Unit ceiling and window upgrades, Project Definition Plan for the new Crisis Care Unit, new fences and roof protection for both the Intensive Supervision Unit and Jasper Unit are due for completion December 2022/January 2023.
