(1)-(2) During the past 12 months, 36 980 licences have been issued that include rock lobster; 21 780 licences have been issued that include marron; and 22 736 licences have been issued that include abalone. These figures relate to recreational fishing licences that were issued over the past 12 months that included either rock lobster, marron or abalone. For example, the number of recreational licences issued for rock lobster include all single-species licences - rock lobster only - as well as licences issued for rock lobster and one or more other licensed recreational fisheries, including 14 688 umbrella licences for all five licensed fisheries. Those licensed fisheries are rock lobster, marron, abalone, south west freshwater angling and netting. It should also be noted that all recreational fishing licences are valid for 12 months from the date of issue or renewal.
