SOUTHERN
SEAWATER DESALINATION PLANT — DRINKING WATER CAPACITY
704. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Water:
I refer to the government's decision in August 2011
to double the capacity of the southern seawater desalination plant to 100 billion
litres of drinking water a year.
(1) Has installation of the additional pumps been completed?
(2) Has
drinking water been delivered to the integrated water supply scheme from the
desalination plant?
(3) If yes to (2), when did delivery commence, and how much
is being delivered?
(4) If no to (2), why not, and when will drinking water be
available?
