(1) With regard to rental agreements between Racing and Wagering Western Australia and the previous controlling authorities - namely, the Western Australian Turf Club, the Western Australian Trotting Association and the Western Australian Greyhound Racing Authority - what rental payments will be made to these bodies for the 2004-05 financial year? (2) Are RWWA staff being relocated from the WATA and WAGRA offices to the WATC offices? On behalf of the Minister for Racing and Gaming, I provide the following response - (1) The estimated rental payment to the WATA is $90 000 and to the WAGRA is $47 420. The payment to the WATC is not finalised. (2) Yes. (3) Approximately six racing services staff are expected to be transferred from the WATA and the WAGRA to the WATC to optimise their effectiveness. No rental payments have at this stage been negotiated.
