(a) The Arts Development Panel is funded recurrently to allocate grants twice during a calendar year. This is a competitive process whereby the Panel provides funding for programs and projects across a range of artforms, including individuals and organisations in the writing/literary sector.
Of the 49 organisations that receive recurrent funding through the Department of Culture and the Arts, independent of the Arts Development Panel, six are from the writing sector.
