I refer to the Government Mid-year Financial Projections Statement 2024-25, at Page 67 “Royalties for Regions Expenditure”, line item, Put Education Assistants (EA) Back in the Classroom, and I ask: (a) How many EA positions will be created by this funding each year, over the next four years ; and (b) In which Education Regions will these EAs be posted, by number in each?

The Department of Education advises:
(a) 300 additional Education Assistant FTE were created under the 2017 Put Education Assistants (EA) Back in the Classroom commitment, including 162.85 regional EA FTE funded from Royalties for Regions.
The Mid-year Financial Projections Statement 2024-25 line item reflects the continued funding of this commitment.
