I refer to the minister’s media statement of 2 August 2011 in relation to the provision of playground equipment to selected schools. (1) How many schools applied for new equipment under this program? (2) When and where was the call for applications from schools advertised? (3) What criteria were used for selection, and how did they differ from those used in the previous years? (4) What index, if any, was used to determine the low socioeconomic areas of schools? (5) Will the minister table the names of schools that applied and their socioeconomic index score; and, if not, why not? Hon PETER COLLIER
