JABIRR JABIRR AND GOOLARABOOLOO INDIGENOUS LAND USE AGREEMENT
I refer to the proposed Jabirr Jabirr and Goolarabooloo Indigenous land use agreement and the proposed Browse LNG gas processing hub. (1) Is it true that as part of this deal the state government has agreed to transfer several parcels of land in the Broome north urban estate to the Jabirr Jabirr? (2) Is it also true that this land was ceded to the state government by the Yawuru traditional owners as part of the Yawuru global native title agreement signed in February 2010? (3) If yes to (2), did the government consult with the Yawuru about the transfer of this land to the Jabirr Jabirr? (4) If no to (3), why not? Hon NORMAN MOORE
