MINISTER
FOR HOUSING — PROPERTY OWNERSHIP
433. Hon AMBER-JADE SANDERSON to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
I refer to question without notice 376 asked on Tuesday, 10
May, and the Premier's response that the Minister for Housing was
advised in December 2014 to manage any perceived conflicts of interest that may
arise in respect to his property co-ownership relationship.
(1) Did the
minister seek advice from the Premier in relation to any perceived conflict in
relation to the minister's consent on 12 April 2016 to a multimillion
dollar deal between the Housing Authority and ABN Group?
(2) If yes to (1) —
(a) on what date was advice
sought; and
(b) did the Premier approve the
minister's consent to this multimillion dollar deal?
(3) If no to
(1), does the Premier continue to believe that the minister has not breached
the ministerial code of conduct in relation to any perceived conflicts of
interest despite his consent to a multimillion dollar deal associated with the
co-owner of his Mandurah property; and, if so, why?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) No.
However, as the minister has publicly stated, he had no role in the procurement
process or selection of ABN Group.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) The minister continues to monitor and manage his
relationship with the co-owner of the property.
