I refer to train stations with escalators, and ask: (a) how much was spent on maintenance and parts in: (i) 2009-10; (ii) 2010-11; (iii) 2011-12; and (iv) 2012-13; (b) how much was spent on capital refurbishment in: (i) 2009-10; (ii) 2010-11; (iii) 2011-12; and (iv) 2012-13; (c) how many are still under warranty and what are their locations; and (d) how often are they replaced?

(a) The Public Transport Authority's recurrent expenditure for escalators at stations for the following financial years was:
(i) $0.706 million.
(ii) $0.746 million.
(iii) $0.894 million.
(iv) $1.2 million.
(b) The Public Transport Authority's asset investment expenditure for escalators at stations for the following financial years was:
(i) Nil.
(ii) Nil.
(iii) $1.268 million.
(iv) $1.922 million.
(c) The Public Transport Authority has ten escalators at Perth station still under warranty and one escalator still under warranty at Warwick station.
(d) Escalators have an asset life of 20 years.
