(a)-(e) Upon assuming office, the Minister appointed Dr Tony Buti, Member for Armadale as the Taxi and On-Demand Reform Coordinator as outlined in the media release of 31 March 2017.
Since that time approximately 34 hours of meetings were held across industry, including representatives from Western Australian Country Taxi Operators Association (WACTOA), Taxi Operator’s Legal Defence (TOLD), Swan Taxis, Black & White Taxis, Uber, Shofer, Combined Taxi Management, WA Taxis, Motor Trade Association, Wedding Car and Limousine Association WA and Cabryder, along with a number of individual taxi and on-demand drivers and taxi plate owners with a broad range of personal circumstances and financial situations.
The Minister and Member for Armadale have also met a range of plate owners and taxi drivers at a range of events such as Meet the Member events and other forums, such as town hall meetings.
