(1) Yes. Both the West Coast (incorporating Joondalup) and Swan Education Districts have contributed to the implementation of the Early Development Instrument (EDI).
(2) The Department of Health contributed all financial costs towards the implementation of the EDI in 2003, including the provision of half-day teacher relief for those teachers involved in completing the survey.
(3) The Department of Education and Training provided in-kind support through the participation of school and district based personnel and in the provision of administrative assistance.
(4) Yes. The Department, through the West Coast Education District contributed $2500 towards the pilot of the EDI in 2002.
(5) Yes. The Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Health, Department of Education and Training and McMaster University (Canada) enables joint ownership of the aggregated data.
