1365. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
minister representing the Minister for Planning:
(1) Has the City
of Joondalup made any request for the government to assume the role of
proponent for the Ocean Reef Marina project?
(2) If yes to (1), in what form was
the request made and does the state government support this request?
(3) Has the
minister been provided with any of the detailed studies or business case work
that the city has undertaken?
(4) What
information does the government require to inform it about its future
involvement in this project?

A letter has been received from the City of Joondalup. No decision has been
made in response to the request.
(3)–(4)
The state government has been working with the City of Joondalup to progress
the planning and a public environmental review for the Ocean Reef Marina
proposal. The government will be interested in the City of Joondalup's
detailed studies and business case in order to inform future involvement in the
project.
