Consolidated Constructions is in the hands of an administrator. The Government is unaware of the business arrangements that brought about the company’s operating difficulties. This is an issue the administrator will be dealing with. The Gallop Government has created an environment that fosters a vibrant and progressive building industry. A feature article published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics in December 2003 highlighted the impressive performance of the building industry during the term of the Gallop Government. The report indicated that between 2000/01 to 2002/03, the value of construction activity rose by an impressive 60.8%.
