With regard to the Conservation Commission, I ask: (a) has the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommended amendments to Forest Management Plans and other relevant legislation to establish appropriate enforcement and compliance powers for regulating the timber industry in Western Australia; and (b) has the Conservation Commission recommended legislative changes in line with the EPA’s recommendation to establish appropriate enforcement and compliance powers, and if not, why not?
