Murujuga rock art—Monitoring program
355. Hon Sophie McNeill to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
I refer to the
Premier's statement to the media on 26 May 2025 that current industrial
processes on the Burrup have "not had an impact in relation to the rock
art".
(1) If industrial processes have not had an impact
in relation to the rock art, why has the federal Minister for the Environment and
Water imposed strict conditions on emissions from the Karratha gas processing
plant and their impact on the rock art?
(2) Was the Premier briefed on the findings of the Murujuga Rock Art Monitoring Program: Monitoring studies
report 2024 prior to making this statement?
