FARINA to the Minister for Mental Health:
I refer to the 2012–13 state budget and to the south
west child and adolescent mental health service and the business case it
submitted in early 2011.
(1) How much growth funding was allocated to the south west
CAMHS in the 2012–13 budget?
(2) How much
additional funding over and above growth funding was allocated to the south
west CAMHS in the 2012–13 budget?
(3) In relation to (2) —
(a) how has the additional funding
been allocated or spent; and
(b) is the additional funding
intended to be recurrent or for the 2012–13 financial year only?

(1) There was
$222 000 in growth funding provided. With this funding, an additional 1.75 full-time
equivalent CAMHS staff have commenced delivering services in the south west.
(2) No additional growth funding was provided to south west
CAMHS in the 2012–13 budget.
