the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Health:
I refer to the Gender
Diversity Service at Perth Children's Hospital.
(1) How many children are currently
receiving gender-affirming care at Perth Children's Hospital?
(2) What is the age range of the children
currently receiving gender-affirming care, including but not limited to hormone
treatments, genital or breast surgery and the prescription of puberty blockers?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question and provide the following on
behalf of the Minister for Health.
(1) There are 215.
(2) The Gender Diversity Service is
currently treating patients from 11 years of age. Surgical interventions for
the purpose of gender affirmation are not offered by the Child and Adolescent
Health Service for any age.
