PERTH STADIUM — TENDER PROCESS
921. Hon KATE DOUST to the
Attorney General representing the Minister for Small Business:
I refer to the announcement that the new Perth Stadium and
sports precinct tenders will be advertised via the Chamber of Commerce and
Industry of Western Australia–hosted ProjectConnect website.
(1) Is there
any requirement for businesses to join CCIWA in order to access tender
documents if the business is not already a member?
(2) Are there
any other costs to businesses associated with registering their details or
receiving tender documentation through the website?
(3) If yes to (2), what costs are involved?
(4) What
options are open for businesses that wish to tender for works but do not wish
to register their details with CCIWA?
(5) Will tenders be advertised via the Tenders WA website;
and, if not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

On behalf of the Minister for Small Business, I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) No.
(2)–(3)
ProjectConnect is free, so there is no charge for businesses to create company
profiles, register interest in project opportunities and access contact
information of contract winners.
(4) Opportunities
to supply are made available only by registering company profiles on
ProjectConnect. Registration for tenders on ProjectConnect is free.
(5) Under the
design, build, partially finance and maintain procurement model, Westadium will
procure all the necessary goods and services required. The state government
will not contract directly with suppliers for these elements of the project.
