GNANGARA AND JANDAKOT GROUNDWATER —
WATER CORPORATION
683. Hon
ALISON XAMON to the minister representing the Minister for Water:
I refer to the Water Corporation's annual abstraction
from the combined Gnangara and Jandakot groundwater systems.
(1) Has the
Water Corporation made a request under the variable groundwater abstraction
rule to abstract water from the combined Gnangara and Jandakot groundwater
systems?
(2) If yes to (1), for how much water, in gigalitres, has the
request been made?
(3) If no to (1), when is it anticipated that the Water
Corporation will make its request?
(4) Has the
maximum allocation available to the Water Corporation under the VGAR been
revised for 2012–13, as the Gnangara groundwater areas allocation plan 2009
states it should be; and, if so, what is the new maximum allocation?
