For each Department and Agency within the Minister’s portfolios:
(a) as at 9 March 2010 how many vehicles are allocated to the department or agency;
(b) what washing arrangements are provided for each vehicle;
(c) if any vehicle is commercially cleaned since 23 September 2008 please provide:
(i) the cost breakdown for each vehicle and cleaning bill;
(ii) how often each vehicle is booked in to be commercially cleaned;
(iii) the address where the vehicle is cleaned; and
(iv) advise whether vehicles are cleaned during office hours;
(d) what detailing arrangements are provided for each vehicle;
(e) if any vehicle is commercially detailed since 23 September 2008 please provide:
(i) the cost breakdown for each vehicle and cleaning bill;
(ii) how often each vehicle is booked in to be commercially cleaned;
(iii) the address where the vehicle is cleaned; and
(iv) advise whether vehicles are detailed during office hours; and
(f) please provide a subtotal of a vehicle’s cleaning costs for each department or agency since 23 September 2008.

Drug and Alcohol Office
advises:
(a) As at 9 March 2010, 13 vehicles are allocated to the Drug and Alcohol Office.
(b) Cleaning facilities available for these vehicles are on fuel cards.

(d) There are no detailing arrangements made for any of the Drug and Alcohol Office's vehicles.

: The above answer is for the Drug and Alcohol Office only.
The Mental Health Division (which ceased to exist on 8 March 2010) and mental health services in Area Health Services form part of the Department of Health and of hospitals boards which are in the Minister for Health's portfolio. As a consequence, information concerning the Mental Health Division and mental health services is included in the answer provided in respect of the Department of Health as a whole by the Minister for Health.
Although the Mental Health Commission has been in operation since 8 March 2010, the Department of Health is yet to determine how many vehicles should be transferred and consequently no transfers have been done to date.
Aqwest
advises:
(A) 14 vehicles.
(B) 3 vehicles are washed by the assigned staff in their own time at their residences at no cost to Aqwest while the 11 other vehicles are washed at the Aqwest Water Services Centre in company time.

Busselton Water
advises:
(A) 12 vehicles (4 sedans and 8 utilities)
(B) Three sedans are washed by the assigned staff in their own time at no cost to Busselton Water while the fourth sedan is washed at the Busselton Water "works depot" by staff when required. The eight utility vehicles are also washed at the Busselton Water "works depot".

Water Corporation
advises
:
(A) 994 vehicles (comprising 706 commercial and 288 passenger).
(B) Washing arrangements are provided on an "as required" basis.
(C) "Pool" vehicles are cleaned using waterless equipment on a rotation basis.
( i) On average, the Water Corporation pays $30 per car to clean pool vehicles.
(ii) As required, depending on how dirty the vehicle becomes (for example, after site visits).
( iii) At the Water Corporation's locations throughout the State.
( iv) Pool vehicles are cleaned during office hours.
(D) Clean and vacuum.
(E i-iv) No standard arrangements for commercial detailing.
(F) The sub total of the DoW's vehicle total cleaning costs since 23 September 2008 amounts to $46 949.59 (excl GST).

(B) All vehicles have been issued with fuel cards which have a car wash availability attached to them.
