I refer to sobering up centre’s (SUC) within Western Australia funded by the State Government, and I ask: (a) at what locations are SUC’s supported by State Government funding; (b) who runs each centre; (c) what is the annual funding amount for each centre from the State Government identifying the relevant agency; (d) what are the key performance indicators for each centre within any funding agreement or contract; (e) what is the bed capacity of each centre; (f) when did each centre’s funding agreement or contract commence and expire; (g) what is the performance or each centre with respect to (d); and (h) what is the State Government’s policy or strategy with respect to the location of SUC’s in Western Australia?

(d) All SUCs are required to operate in accordance with the MHC’s ‘Guidelines for the Operation of Sobering-Up Centres’ (July 2017).
The key performance indicators (KPIs) are the same for all of the SUCs and are listed below:
(e) Please see tabled paper no. for the bed capacity of each SUC.
(f) Please see tabled paper no. for each SUC’s contract commencement and expiry date.
(g) Please see tabled paper no. for the performance data for each SUC service. This includes the annual admission target, which varies for each centre, and achievement against this target.
(h) The Governments’ investment in both mental health and alcohol and other drug services is guided by the Western Australian Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug Services Plan 2015-2025.
