(b) The Minister for Energy visited the Island to promote the wind power technology used on the Island. The Minister was accompanied by crew members of CNBC Asia for a story on renewable energy.

27 September 2006 - official opening of refurbished accommodation.
27 December 2006 - announcement of new plan for marine sanctuary zones at Rottnest Island.
