1. The Director, Office of the Chief Heritage Officer, supported by other Department of Aboriginal Affairs heritage staff.
2. Yes. Regular meetings have been held during the project with Senior Men from the Ngarluma, Yaburara / Mardudhunera, Yindjibarndi and Wong Goo Tt Oo groups, as well as members of the Murujuga Circle of Elders, Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation and the Murujuga National Park Council, who include members from relevant Traditional Owner groups. Meetings included:
a. 30 July 2014 at Burrup Compound - Meeting with Senior Men regarding ongoing site remediation works.
b. 12 August 2014 at Burrup Compound and Karratha - Meeting with Senior Men at Compound regarding ongoing site remediation works, meeting with Murujuga National Park Council to provide an update on site remediation works.
c. 2 September 2014 at Burrup Compound - Meeting with Senior Men regarding ongoing site remediation works.
d. 18 September 2014 at Burrup Compound - Meeting with Senior Men regarding ongoing site remediation works.
e. 11 November 2014 at Karratha - Meeting with Senior Men regarding finalisation of site remediation works.
f. 15 December 2014 at Karratha - Meeting with Murujuga National Park Council and Murujuga Aboriginal Corporation to provide an update on site remediation works and future management of the Burrup Compound.
g. 19 February 2015 on the Burrup Peninsula - Meeting with Murujuga Circle of Elders to provide update on site remediation works.
