CROSSING REMOVAL PROJECT
1254. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Morrison Road level
crossing removal project.
(1) Will the
minister detail the consultation that will be undertaken with the local
community and businesses as part of this project and the time line for this
consultation to occur?
(2) Have any lots
been acquired in the local area in order to facilitate the project; and, if
yes, will the minister list the lots and their location?

(1) Main Roads
and Metronet will liaise with the City of Swan and other key stakeholders
throughout project development, including residents at the boundaries of the
project; other relevant local business owners, amenity groups and neighbouring landowners. Additionally, as the project
progresses, the local community will be able to access project
information in a range of ways, including newsletters, online, and at
information sessions. It is currently anticipated that project development will
have progressed sufficiently to enable community information sessions next
year.
(2) The whole of
the land comprised in certificates of title volume 1559, folio 844; volume
1672, folio 862; volume 1095, folio 975; volume 1672, folio 863; volume 1990,
folio 453; and volume 1672, folio 864.
