I am not absolutely certain why I am
answering this on behalf of the Deputy Premier, as I do not represent him in
any portfolio. However, I happen to have the answer in my file! That is
interesting. I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The
following information has been provided to me by the Deputy Premier.
(1) They are to
examine the governance, planning and management structures in place for the
communities and surrounding areas of Coral Bay, the Abrolhos Islands and
coastal communities and areas between Augusta and Esperance, and advise cabinet
on the most appropriate governance, planning and management structures to be
applied to current and future coastal communities in those areas to ensure the
revitalisation and sustainability of those communities. The subcommittee will
conclude its work by 30 June 2015. It should be noted that the terms of
reference do not include making financial decisions.
(2) The Coral Bay settlement
structure plan is currently being considered by government.
(3) The public
consultation for the Coral Bay settlement structure plan has been undertaken
and completed.
(4) The member
should refer to the answer to question (2).
I expect it is
because it is part of planning.
