CONSTABLE
RYAN MARRON
1337. Hon KATE DOUST to the
Attorney General:
In view of the state government's commitment to an
expeditious process to resolve Ryan Marron's claim to an ex gratia
payment, will the claim be resolved by Christmas; and, if not, when will it be
brought to conclusion?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for the question.
Mr Marron submitted some information to the State Solicitor's
Office about 15 months ago, and the State Solicitor's Office required
some further information before it could give me some advice on the claim. That
advice has only recently been received—a matter of about a week ago—and
I understand that the State Solicitor's Office has now provided me with
an opinion, which I will consider at the earliest opportunity and make a
decision and recommendation to cabinet accordingly.
