I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) The Craigie Senior High School site will be disposed of in the period 2005-07. (2) The Valuer General’s Office is currently preparing a valuation of the site for ongoing educational use and has advised that for residential development the value will be between $3.8 million and $4.4 million. (3) Three disposal options have been identified - sale or lease for alternative educational purposes and sale of the site for residential purposes. LandCorp has been engaged by the Department of Education and Training to assist in the development of an expression of interest to determine interest in the site for lease or sale as an educational facility. The expression of interest is due for release on 1 July 2003. (4) The expected revenue will depend on which disposal option is pursued. (5) No allocation has been made for the disposal of the Craigie Senior High School site in the 2003-04 budget. Provision for the proceeds from the disposal of the Carine site has been allocated in the 2004-05 budget at $7.5 million.
