I refer to the Summary Report Review of the Family and Domestic Violence Refuge Service System in Western Australia where it states "The current service agreements for the Family and Domestic Violence Accommodation and support services funded through the joint Commonwealth/State National Affordable Housing Agreement on Homelessness have been extended until 2014”, and I ask: (a) what is the expiry date of this agreement in 2014; (b) what is the status of the current federal government funding negotiations post the expiry date; (c) what was the funding amount of the current agreement; and (d) what is the expected funding amount of the future agreement?

(a) The expiry date of the family and domestic violence service agreements, funded through the National Affordable Housing Agreement (NAHA), is 30 June 2014.
(b) Negotiations are ongoing. The Minister for Child Protection continues to actively liaise with the Commonwealth regarding a commitment to future funding arrangements.
The Commonwealth Government has commenced a National Commission of Audit (the Commission). The Commission has a broad remit to examine the scope for efficiency and productivity improvements across all areas of Commonwealth Government expenditure, and to make recommendations.
(c) The joint Commonwealth/State funding amount for family and domestic violence services funded under the NAHA is approximately $21.7 million for 2013-14.
(d) The expected funding amount of any future agreement is currently unknown, pending the decisions of the Commonwealth Government and its consideration of the Commission of Audit.
