The Minister Replied:
(1) Parents have been offered a choice of enrolling their children in kindergarten programs at Eaton Family Centre or Eaton Primary School, and at Riverlinks Community Centre or at Parkfield and Australind Primary Schools. If at least 15 children enrolled at the Eaton Family Centre and at Riverlinks Community Centre, kindergarten programs would be offered in those buildings in 2001.
However, the management committee of Riverlands Community Centre has since advised that it no longer wishes to lease a room to the Education Department to house a kindergarten program. It appears likely that a kindergarten program will go ahead at the Eaton Family Centre.
(2) Not applicable.
