(1)–(5)
No recommendation to the Minister for Transport has been made by the Department
of Transport or Main Roads WA. Some consultation has occurred with the Main
Roads Cycling and Pedestrian Advisory Group to investigate this proposal.
Further engagement and consultation is still to be undertaken with
stakeholders. Any proposal would take potential impacts on pedestrians into
consideration. Any amendments to the Road Traffic Code to allow cyclists of any
age to use pedestrian footpaths come under the responsibility of the Minister
for Road Safety.
