I refer to the Auditor General’s Report “Controls Over Portable Assets – State Entities” (Report 10: 2025-26), and I ask:(a) does the Minister agree with the recommendations of the Auditor General;(b) will any changes be made to ChemCentre's policies in response to findings of the report;(c) what is the timeframe for any changes; and(d) in relation to the positive findings about ChemCentre, will the systems and practices used by ChemCentre be adopted by other agencies within the Minister’s portfolio?

(a-d) While ChemCentre is pleased with the positive audit findings, they will continue to identify opportunities for improvement.  This commitment includes regularly working to raise awareness of policy requirements, ensuring consistency and completeness of required registers and disposal processes.
The commitment to continuous improvement is ongoing and part of ChemCentre’s normal operations.
