BUNBURY SUBACUTE MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY

the Bunbury subacute mental health facility?
(2) Is the minister any closer to
commencing public consultation on the proposal?
(3) Why has the
government decided to build the facility in a residential area rather than at
the South West Health Campus?

purchased lot 54 Vittoria Road, Bunbury?
(5) Will construction of the
facility commence before February 2017?

Health Commission and the Department of Regional Development are working to
finalise the release of funds as part of normal government processes.
(2) Once funds
are released, public consultation will begin and form part of a broader communication
strategy.
(3) The model for
subacute services aims to deliver short-term community residential-based care.
It is therefore preferable, wherever possible, for it to be located in the
community and not on a health campus.
(4) Yes.
