FOREST PRODUCTS COMMISSION — PRODUCTION STATISTICS
1516. Hon STEVE MARTIN to the Minister for Forestry:
I refer to the answer to my
question asked on 30 May 2024 in which the minister indicated that the Forest
Products Commission's 2022–23 production statistics would be
complete in the first quarter of 2024.
(1) Is the
minister's statement during the 2024–25 budget estimates
process correct that due to changes in resourcing of the agency, the production
statistics have not been produced?
(2) Noting the
minister's later statement that if they became available, and if she
had the resourcing, she did not see any reason they could not be made
available, will she please table a copy of the 2022–23 FPC production
statistics?
(3) If the
production statistics will not be published, was the decision not to publish
taken before or after 30 May 2024?
