24. Hon ALANNA CLOHESY to the
Minister for Disability Services:
I refer the minister to the delivery of respite services
provided through funding from the Disability Services Commission. As at 1 January
2015 —
(1) How many individuals were waiting for individual
respite/family support packages for —
� (a) non-residential
respite; and
� (b) residential
respite?
(2) How many individuals were seeking to increase the support
they receive for —
� (a) non-residential
respite; and
� (b) residential
respite?

In 2013–14, a total of $82 352 783 was allocated for respite and family
support. The majority of current funding for respite and family support is
provided to disability sector organisations that report on an annual basis. The
direction for the future allocation of funding to meet peopleXXX ###XXXs
needs is through individualised funding packages that will be regularly
reviewed and revised to meet reasonable and necessary needs.
