MIDLAND TRAIN STATION — RELOCATION
886. Hon
ALISON XAMON to the minister representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the answer to my question on notice 5652. In light
of the commitment the Premier made on 19 October at the Swan Chamber of
Commerce breakfast to a new Midland train station located closer to the new
Midland hospital —
(1) What is
the department's planned time line for each stage of designing and
building the new Midland train station and bus interchange?
(2) Will the
minister please identify which, if any, stages of the design and development
process will be sent out for tender?
(3) Will the
minister commit to having the promised new train station functional and open by
the time the new hospital opens?
