1. Actions regarding the following recommendations: 8. Peak pricing investigations. No action so far, but the newly formed Economic Regulation Authority (ERA) may investigate this. 14. The water forums held across the State in 2002 provided community review and input to the development of the State Water Strategy which replaced the "Perth´s Water Future" report. 18. Investigation of penalties for sprinklers operating in the rain. No action has been taken because awareness and education programs have been effective and there are very isolated incidences of this causing only very minor wastage of scheme water. 20. Agency support for Waterwise on the Farm - included in the State Water Strategy (Chapter 4 and 7) with the Department of Agriculture conducting workshops with farmers with assistance from the Department of Environment. 26. Promotion of Water Sensitive Urban Design. Included in the State Water Strategy (Chapter 6). 27. Land use planning instruments to be revised to require the installation of water efficient appliances in new developments and major refurbishments. Included in the State Water Strategy (Chapter 6). 28. Investigations to develop minimum performance standards for water using appliances. Included in the State Water Strategy (Chapter 4). 35. Research and development of water efficient technologies. Included in State Water Strategy (Chapter 7). 38. Establishment of a Water Conservation Strategy Working Group and Forum. The Water Resources Stakeholder Reference Group to be established soon, as announced at the recent Water Symposium, will include consideration of water conservation issues. 2.
