(b) WA Police commenced recording the Use of Force reports for statistical purposes on 1 January 2007, therefore no figures are available prior to that date.
In 2007 Tasers were deployed on 804 occasions by police officers in the discharge of their duties.
Between 1 January 2008 and 27 February 2008, Tasers have been deployed on 210 occasions by police officers in the discharge of their duties.
