ARMADALE RAIL LINE —
CLOSURE
1115. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Armadale line
shutdown that occurred on 20 November 2023 and the parallel closure of the Australind Bunbury–Perth service. As of 17 September 2024, I ask the following.
(1) As the Australind service is contingent on the reopening of the Armadale line, what is the
projected date for the reopening of the Armadale line?
(2) What was the
original budget allocated for the refurbishment of the Armadale line, including
the removal of 13 level crossings, the
building of seven new stations and the addition of 5.5 kilometres of elevated
rail?
(3) What is
current audited cost for the delivery of the Armadale line project?
(4) What
variations have occurred to the final scoping of the Armadale line project
since November 2023 and at what cost?
