Given that 100 builders have reportedly already signed this EBA, will the Premier now direct his minister to appear before the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission and exercise his powers under section 30 of the Industrial Relations Act to oppose this ridiculous provision? Dr G.I. GALLOP

AnswerView source ↗

The government of Western Australia will always take action to respect the integrity of sick leave as a very important institution established over many years as a result of trade union action. I will consult with the Minister for Consumer and Employment Protection about whether we intend to take action through the industrial processes on that issue.
