(a) To service the South West Metropolitan Railway (SWMR), 21 three-car sets are required. The maximum passenger carrying capacity of these railcars on the SWMR is 12,054.
(b) Each three-car train on the SWMR has a driving motor car at either end with a trailer car in between. The train capacity is 574 with each driving car having capacity for 174 people and 226 in the trailer car. Each three-car train has 12 spaces set aside for wheelchairs.
